0:01[music] >> Good evening.
0:04Welcome to the broadcast.
0:08We're coming to you live with the very latest.
0:12Grab your remote and turn the volume up.
0:15Because tonight's top story is about to erupt.
0:20We're reporting [music] from the desk, microphone on, something happened in Washington before the dawn. Cameras were rolling, the lights were bright, [music] but the president's eyes told a different night. It was April 23rd, a regular day. A healthcare meeting called, officials on their way. [music] The cameras rolled inside that famous [singing] room, but something unexpected started happening soon. The leader [music] of the free world, seated in his chair, started closing both his eyes right then and there. [music] His head began to nod then jolted back awake. The room kept going on, for goodness sake.
0:52Now, we're not making [music] diagnoses here tonight. We're just reporting what appeared on cameras like. The footage went viral [music] across every single screen. One of the more talked about moments we have seen. Reporters started writing, producers hit the phones, social media was running with its megaphones. [music] Some posts were real and some were clearly fake. The fact-checkers stepped in for accuracy's sake. This is your evening news. [music] We bring the facts straight. We verify the claim before we let them circulate.
1:18No spinning and [music and singing] no twisting what the camera shows. We walk the line of truth right down the middle road. Breaking it down for you piece by piece. From Washington, [music] D.C. all the way to Greece. This is your evening update. Stay right here. The Overlawfer story is becoming very clear. Now, moving to [music] our second story of the night. A press conference moment that caught everyone's [singing] sight.
1:38The topic was geopolitics, support from overseas. And then came a comment about [music] the nation Greece. The words came out as follows, let the record show. Greece has been terrific. He's a terrific guy, you know. [music] >> Now, Greece is a country, population million strong, but the phrasing of that sentence came out slightly wrong. The Prime Minister of [music] Greece, Mitsotakis is his name. A human being, yes, but Greece itself is not the same.
1:59And it happens in press conferences, [music] words can slip away. Reporters noted it didn't file, they breached that day. Greek media covered [music] it from Athens to the port. It got the marini wrote it up in a full report. No diplomatic crisis [music] followed, just a note in the news. But commentary channels ran with their own views. And now we go live [music] to our correspondent on the ground, who has been tracking every development around.
2:20The Spirit Airlines reference also made the rounds. A merger mentioned that raised some journalistic sounds. People expressed, was the airline [music] in the mix? A company that folded back in '86. The reference was squarely [music] in a different time. Always after the proverbial timeline. Fact-checkers logged it, archived and stored another verbal moment added to the record board.
2:46Before the correspondent [music] finished Saturday night, the president departed Washington [singing] by flight.
2:51Headed down to Florida the evening before. Commentary channels [music] called it something more. But mainstream newsrooms checking every lead found no confirmed emergency, [singing] no urgent need. The White House offered context, schedules run ahead. [music] No verified reports of anything that was said. At 79 years old, scrutiny comes with the role. Every public moment now is part of the scroll. The same lens was applied not very long ago >> [music] >> to every public figure putting on a show. That is your report for this evening broadcast. We covered every angle till the story's done. From Grozi
3:23Oval moments to the cruise control. From Spirit Airlines chizzled to the Florida departure door. We leave you with the facts, [music] you draw your own conclusions. This is the news format cutting through confusion. Stay informed, stay curious. Question what you see. Good night from [music] the desk. This has been your evening brief.
